The position includes teaching responsibilities and surgeries with residents and medical students from the two medical schools in town.  The position also includes teaching as part of the Pediatric Surgery Fellowship, based at University of Nebraska Medical.  Leadership opportunities are available, including Trauma Director, along with resources to expand existing programs in short gut, pectus, obesity and thyroid, and to build new programs where there is clinical interest and expertise, such as vascular malformations. Protected time and resources for research are available for interested individuals.

Candidates must be certified by the American Board of Surgeons and possess skills developed through clinical practice with pediatrics.  We are committed to providing our candidates with extremely competitive recruitment and relocation packages, which are among the best in the country.
