RML Specialty Hospital is a national leader in caring for patients with medically complex conditions who need an extended hospital stay. We offer patients the kind of critical care expertise found in a traditional hospital, but with highly specialized services in such areas as ventilator weaning, wound management, stroke rehabilitation, ventricular assist device support, and post-surgery organ transplant management.

RML’s staff is made up of more than 200 physicians and 600 engaged and compassionate employees including nurses, respiratory and rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and dietitians who treat and comfort patients during sometimes long journeys.

We are partners with Loyola University Health System and Advocate Health Care, ensuring the strong connections and comprehensive resources that promote enriching career experiences.

I’ve worked at RML Specialty Hospital for 20 years, and I love what I do. I’ve seen firsthand the service and care our staff provides to our patients. My fondest memory is the caroling we do for patients and family members every year at the holidays. It’s extremely gratifying and a great morale-builder, and it’s a symbol of RML’s family atmosphere.
