Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality service and support for each of our clients.Distinctive Home & Healthcare is currently hiring for two full time Nurse Practitioners to work at the Branch Health Clinics at Camp Lejeune, NC.
Responsibilities:
Provide a full range of nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the Commanding Officer (e.g., technically direct and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated)Collaborate with the physician in the health care of patients with chronic illnessesRequest consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicatedOrder diagnostic tests as applicablePrescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics CommitteePromote preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counselingThe Commanding Officer will assign to each of the contractor practitioners approximately 1000 - 1200 TRICARE Prime enrolleesThe Nurse Practitioners who have a patient in the clinic who requires admission must contact the Navy physician serving as hospitalist and follow guidance provided
Qualifications:
Must possessa Masters DegreeMust have 2 years of experience as a Nurse PractitionerMust have a BLS and ACLS certification-American Heart AssociationCertified by either the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)Must have a DEA license
