About St. Christopher's Hospital for Children

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, a partnership between Tower Health and Drexel University, is a 188-bed facility that provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties.

With more than 220 pediatric experts on staff, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children combines top-notch pediatric care with a wide array of pediatric specialties, including Cardiology, Ear, Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, Oncology, and Orthopedics. It houses the only Verified Pediatric Only Burn Center between New York City and Baltimore and is one of only three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers in Pennsylvania. Job Summary

SCPA Yardley Pediatrics in Yardley, PA is seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. SCPA Yardley Pediatrics is a pediatric practice with 6 providers - 5 Physicians and 1 Nurse Practitioner. The team cares for approximately 10,000 children annually. This is an outstanding opportunity for highly-qualified individuals with the skills to contribute to the vitality of a clinically strong department affiliated with one of the most progressive and community-oriented children's hospitals in the nation. As part of the St. Christopher's Hospital for Children Network, patients have rapid access to all sub-specialty practices.

In collaboration with the attending physician, the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner provides well and sick care for patients from newborns to the age of 22. Vaccine counseling, ordering labs, radiology, testing as appropriate. They also attend well baby nursery rounds at local hospitals. Rotate on call and weekend hours.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated competence in clinical management. Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership abilities and research skills.

Training & Education:

The PNP holds a Master's Degree in Nursing. National certification by ANCC or NAPNAP required.

Experience:

A minimum of one year experience in an advanced practice nursing role. Prior work experience suitable for the position is preferred.

Required Licenses:

Licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania. Licensure to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania. Prescriptive Authority and DEA License.
