Olathe Medical Center, Inc, a 300-bed general acute care facility, is currently looking for an RN professional to join our Resource Nursing Team.
Float to all inpatient units
Telemetry, Med/Surg, PCU & CCU
Extra compensation for required certifications
Position Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. He/she provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. He/she integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families through the continuum of care. The RN collaborates with others to integrate assessment and input of the patient, family and the interdisciplinary team.
He/she ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, serves as a resource, preceptor, and mentor. Demonstrates leadership skills in decision-making and problem solving. The RN integrates and communicates knowledge and sensitivity to patient's psychosocial, spiritual, cultural and age specific needs. He/she practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards and organizational/departmental policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
Education:
2 Year / Associate Degree - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
Experience:
One year in an acute care setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills:
Organizational and Verbal Communication skills, Assessment, Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Customer Relations and Critical Thinking/Reasoning skills
License, Registration and/or Certification:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact required upon hire
Healthcare Provider CPR - (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) required within 7 days from date of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 180 Days
