For more information please go to:https://hpsa.us/client-pages/kingman-regional-medical-center-mohave-county/So many other great benefits await you at Kingman Regional Medical Center!ScheduleFull TimeHiring Incentive$15,000 Signing BonusPosition DescriptionThe Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act and the bylaws of the hospital with an emphasis on utilization of the nursing process and of improving outcomes for a variety of psychiatric patients.The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assist with the development and maintenance of educational information/programs for hospital employees (i.e. nursing, social workers, therapists, etc.), to promote an optimal level of knowledge and performance of skills for personnel, in order to enhance the Psychiatric Program and improve the quality of patient care.The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will function as a consultant, clinician and mentor in the delivery and evaluation of psychiatric care services to hospitalized patients.Perform initial chart review and focused bedside evaluation of patients referred for psychiatric care consultation by the attending physician.Interview with nursing and attending physician to discuss issues as appropriate.Perform the initial patient/family interview.Collaborate case planning with providers.Consult with physician or designees as needed, inform primary physician of services provided and collaboration with another physician if ordered; provide written reports to primary physician upon request.Coordinate symptom management follow-up.Coordinate communication with the psychiatric care interdisciplinary team and facilitate team meetings as needed.Triage for ancillary and complementary services and make needed referrals.Work with social services and discharge planning for case management.Provide psychosocial support for patient/family.Provide continuity of care across care sites.Round in the critical care and med/surgical areas to identify potential patients.Utilize approved references and procedure manuals when providing care.Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, charts and documents to support sound medical practice and reimbursement for services provided.Provide training and continuing education for staff related to psychiatric care.Assist program to obtain and maintain accreditation when available.Support any quality measures nationally reported (i.e. core measures, HCAPS).

Qualifications:
American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certificationsGraduate of a school of nursingGraduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program Masters Degree or Post Masters Certificate as APNAbility to obtain or have a current APRN license in good standing to practice in Arizona2 years of critical care, psychiatric or internal / med/surg experience strongly preferred
