An accredited acute-care hospital located South of Chicago is currently searching for a Nurse Practitioner of Behavioral and Mental Health to join their award winning clinical team.

The Nurse Practitioner of Behavioral and Mental Health will work within a psychiatric department that is accustomed to utilizing a team approach when caring for every kind of patient. The Nurse Practitioner of Behavioral and Mental Health will be expected to provide clinical psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and appropriate transition of patients within the behavioral and mental health service line. The Nurse Practitioner of Behavioral and Mental Health will work primarily in the hospital's Emergency Department, Psychiatric Emergency Department, the inpatient Psychiatry unit, and many other ancillary departments throughout the hospital.

The Nurse Practitioner of Behavioral and Mental Health will act as a true resource within the psychiatric service line. The Nurse Practitioner of Behavioral and Mental Health will be expected to scribe patient medical and psychiatric histories, utilize adequate diagnostic techniques, prepare and administer psychiatric assessments. The Nurse Practitioner of Behavioral and Mental Health will work under the Unit Chief and will be responsible for providing education, instruction, and counseling as needed.
