An Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner is now wanted to act as the midlevel provider in the Heart and Vascular unit in a Southern Oregon Medical Center

The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner will be working hand in hand with the Director of Cardiology to further the program and level of care. The Cardiovascular NP collaborates with the nursing staff and assists by offering continued education of daily care, risk potential and wound care product knowledge. The Critical Care Cardiothoratic NP will lead and evaluate nursing practices and stay current on all requirements necessary for Cardiovascular nursing staff.

The Critical Care Advanced Practice Nurse will work autonomously and will be supported by two additional Wound NP's and team of artfully skilled nurses. The Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner must be enthusiastic and excited about helping patients with a complex variety of Heart and Vascular problems. The Cardiac Catherization Nurse Practitioner will treat patients not only suffering coronary artery disease but to the care of those patients with arrhythmias, valve disease, congenital heart defects, vascular disease and aneurysms.

The Cardiology Lab Nurse Practitioner will work in a large inpatient Wound Care Center, which sees a full spectrum of patients. The Medical Center is a Level III Trauma Center, which sees many patients suffering from complex medical conditions. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a clinical expert in nursing management of the wound care patient.

The Inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will have specific knowledge of cardiovascular evidence-based best practices while utilizing expert skills such as placement of central and arterial lines. The ARNP Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the nursing process, providing clinical education to staff and patients, and delivering patient care across the healthcare continuum. Due to the nature of this role within the organization, some research will be required which will be used to further enhance the quality of patient care that is delivered.
