Rehabilitation Technician

Job Summary:
Performs designated routine tasks related to the operation of Rehabilitation Services. Duties are of a supportive nature and are performed only with the continuous on-site supervision of the therapist or therapist assistant/RN or LPN. This position does not interpret referrals, perform evaluation procedures, initiate or adjust treatment programs, assume responsibility for planning patient care, and/or discuss medical diagnosis with patients. Responsible for centralized departmental scheduling and processing of Rehabilitation Services patient schedules for CRU and/or Acute Rehabilitation Services. Responsible for data collection related to scheduling processes. Assists with staff schedules, vacation requests, requests for coverage, and flexing and floating due to volume fluctuations. Coordinates activities of scheduling area, inputs data into computer, answers phones and relays messages, and other clerical duties as assigned by Rehab Manager.
