The Surgery Center, LLC (TSC) has a rare, exciting opportunity for a Pre-Op/PACU registered nurses to work a daytime shift. The RN collaborates as a team member to coordinate patient assignments, implement a plan of care, and develop/monitor/evaluate outcomes to ensure exceptional patient care from admission to discharge.
We serve pediatric and adult patients, performing G.I., pain, and O.R. procedures.
Key Result Areas
Education/Licensure: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold/maintain a current Wisconsin RN license.
Certification: Must have current CPR certification. ACLS and PALS certification are required within 1 year of hire.
Experience: Two or more years pre-op/PACU RN experience required. Med-surg is helpful.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Confidentiality, competence, high quality service, true team player, exceptional communication, timely decision making, empathy, patience, and composure when under pressure.

Key Result Areas
- Provide safe, therapeutic, and high quality direct patient care in a timely manner, setting appropriate priorities and acting as a patient advocate.
- Complete patient charting in an accurate, concise, and timely manner.
- Communicate appropriate and timely information to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members concerning patient care, previous disease processes, treatments, and medications.
- Carry out physician orders safely, thoroughly, correctly, and promptly, documenting all activities.
- Communicate and interact with patients, family members, and peers in a positive, team oriented, and supportive manner.
- Back up the preadmission function as needed by calling patients, preparing them for procedures, gathering and sharing relevant information, etc.
- Demonstrate professional/clinical competency, practicing within the nursing Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
