The Neogen Care Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for directly supporting the Vice President of Patient Care Services (DPCS) in leading the development of all Neogen Care home care service capabilities and the overall direction of home health clinical services. The ADON helps the DPCS establish, implement, and evaluate processes, procedure, goal, objective, and quality assurance for Neogen Care home health services to meet and promote organization vision, mission, philosophy, and quality standards. The ADON also serves as a Clinical Manager for the purposes of meeting Medicare and HMO client's conditions of participation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the DPCS:
  • Coordinate and lead all direct and indirect patient care services provided by Neogen Care clinical personnel.
  • Provide guidance to and counsel clinicians and therapists in their continually improving all aspects of home health care services.
  • Lead and managing clinical teams.
  • Dictation Charting: Takes much less time to chart, higher work/life balance.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family/caregiver care for all Neogen Care clinical personnel.
  • Evaluating the performance of Clinical and Nursing Supervisors and field clinicians and therapists to implementing corrective measures to optimize their performance.
  • Conduct regular clinical performance evaluations.
  • Plan and implement in-service training (including QAPI) and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of organization personnel.
  • Assure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and maintaining compliance with CHAP Home Care standards.
  • When required, in the absence of the DPCS, serve as the acting DPCS.
  • Providing oversight of all patient care services and personnel.
  • Conduct field nursing visits, either to supervise and assess clinicians, or to open and monitor complicated home care cases.
  • Prepare for and participate in regular client meetings and conferences with a clear understanding of the status of critical patients of concern to the client.
  • Prevent patient complaints: lead responses with short term and long-term plans for resolution.
  • Closely follow QAPI programs to completion.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Required Education And Experience
  • Registered nurse (RN) with current licensure to practice in the State of California.
  • Undergraduate (BSN) degree in Nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing. Graduate degree (health care) a plus.
  • Three (3) years' management experience within the last five (5) years in a home health or related health care organization, with at least two (2) years in a senior management or supervisory capacity.
  • Knowledge and expertise in clinical decision-making for the patient population.
  • Quality Management review and evaluation expertise and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, supervise, and direct professional personnel.
  • Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and CHAP standards.
  • Ability to work with high degree of precision and attention to detail to achieve accurate and timely delivery of services and to follow up and close all open cases.
