Assistant/Associate Professor of
Otorhinolaryngology:
HNS, CE Track- Allergist/Immunologist
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertiseisrequiredinthespecificareaof allergy&immunology. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D.degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include medical student, resident and fellow education.
Clinical responsibilities may include clinical consultation and treatment of patients with allergic, immunologic and medical rhinologic disorders including being a member of the Penn AERD Center staff (Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease), performing aspirin challenges and desensitization, diagnostic nasal endoscopy, allergy skin testing, pulmonary function testing, penicillin testing and challenges and treating patients with allergen immunotherapy, biologics, IV and SC immunoglobulin.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing a clinical and translational research program. The division of Rhinology and the Penn AERD Center has a rhinology research and clinical collaboration with the Philadelphia Veteran's Administration Medical Center's Rhinology laboratory as well as other departments within the Penn Medicine Health System and the Perelman School of Medicine. Presenting research findings at national, regional and local conferences is expected.
We are seeking an outstanding,energetic,fellowship trained board certified or eligible Allergist/Immunologist to join the Division of Rhinology. This individual will be expected to fulfill and excel in the tripartite (clinical, research and teaching excellence) mission of the division.
