UNIT DESCRIPTION:
32 beds on this unit, with 24 average daily census.
Age groups of patients are Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics.
Unit patient population are all MS type patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring.
This unit does use CNA's and Ward Clerks. Nurse/Patient Ratio on this unit: Day: 1:4, PM: 1:4, Nocs: 1-4.
Special medications/drips administered on this unit: Insulin; "renal dose" Dopamine.
Special procedures done on this unit: Cardioversion.
Special equipment used on the unit: Cardiac monitor; Oximeters.
Specific expectations for travel nurses is the ability to function as an experienced Telemetry level RN with minimal direction

Required Qualifications
ACLS, BLS
Must pass EKG test upon arrival to continue assignment
