An exciting opportunity is now available for an Obstetrics Nurse Manager at a well respected acute care hospital in Southern California.

This 150+ bed Medical Center is well respected for its excellent patient care and close ties to the community. The hospital offers comprehensive services including inpatient and outpatient care, medical and surgical services, and diagnostic and emergency care. The Obstetrics Nurse Manager will join a healthcare team that values the perfect balance of clinical excellence and high quality patient care.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Manager of Obstetrics will oversee a Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Well-Baby Nursery, and Pediatrics. This nurse Leader will be well supported by a skilled Obstetrics team including Charge Nurses, Labor and Delivery RNs, Lactation Consultants, and Nurse Educators. This person will serve as a mentor to the staff, sponsoring training, skills development, and performance improvement.

The Obstetrics Nurse Manager will work with a highly skilled team trained in obstetrics, newborn nursery care and pediatrics. Labor and Delivery has 10+ beds, with an additional 3 birthing suites and an excellent Lactation Services Team. The Nurse Manager of Obstetrics will be responsible for overseeing both clinical and administrative excellence. As an administrator, the Manager will oversee budget, staffing, and quality assurance initiatives. An ideal candidate for this role, will be able to develop and nurture positive professional relationships both internally and across operational boundaries.

The Nurse Manager Obstetrics will be responsible for personnel management, budget planning and monitoring, scheduling, systems improvement, compliance with regulatory requirements and strategic planning. This position will provide collaborative leadership for the process of planning, integrating and coordinating activities to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high quality services.
