Amotec is proud to introduce our new Medical Staffing Division here in Cleveland, OH. We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurse for contractual and direct placement positions in and around the greater Cleveland area.

Licensed Practical Nurse Description:

• Plans and manages patient care according to each patient's needs.
• Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
• Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
• Observes and provides routine care for patients.
• Reviews medical charts.
• Accompanies patients to their rooms.
• Assists physicians and registered nurses.
• Communicates with patients and their families.
• Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.
• Prepares specimens for lab courier.
• Administers medications.
• Provides wound care.
• Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.
• Assists with patient comfort.
• Monitors catheters.

Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements:

• Minimum of one year prior experience in a SNF or hospital is required
• High school diploma or GED required and completion of state approved training program (generally in the form of a diploma, certificate, or associate degree)
• Ohio LPN license
• High-quality patient care and safety
• Medical terminology
• Charting accuracy, vital signs and patient monitoring
• Compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Patient advocacy and support
• Compassion and empathy
• Critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Observational skills
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules
• Communication skills and leadership
• BLS through American Heart Association
• Ability to bend, lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
• All applicants are required to complete a background check and drug screen

Additional Information:

• Shifts: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, 11:00 om - 7:30 am , and 7:00pm - 7:30 am
• Compensation: $26 - $53 an hour
• All PPE will be supplied to keep you safe
