Registered Nurse - Nephrology (Our Lady of the Lake)

The Nephrology nurse will provide care for patients suffering from abnormal kidney function because of chronic or acute kidney disease.

This unit is specifically designed, equipped, and staffed to meet the needs of patients with, anticipating, or recovering from:

• Renal Failure
• Other Kidney and Urinary Tract Infections and/or Disorders
• Septicemia
• Heart Failure
• Nutritional and Metabolic Disorders
• Circulatory System Disorders
• Gastrointestinal and Digestive Disorders
• Shunt Revisions
• Diabetes Mellitus
• Sickle Cell Anemia
• Pneumonia
• Infectious Diseases
• Other medical surgical conditions requiring acute care as determined by patient needs

Delivers high quality patient-focused health care services that meet the assessed and individually planned needs and desires of all patients on the assigned nursing unit.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Education
Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited RN program

Required Certification/Registration
Current unrestricted Louisiana RN license and BLS certification
