PERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Utilizes the nursing process including: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and recording of patient care. Teaches, delegates and supervises other nursing staff in the provision of care. Coordinates services with other members of the health-care team to provide complex patient care. Practices within the scope of the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and Person Memorial Hospital policies/procedures/standards.
Reports to: Emergency Room Director
Job Requirements:
Minimum EducationSuccessful completion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required.Bachelor's degree is preferred.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Licenses: Registered Nurse LicenseCertification: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire or before the start of independent assignment. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) is required within 90 days of hire.Minimum Work ExperienceRecommend 2-3 years of recent experience a healthcare setting.
