NYU Langone Health and the NYU Long Island School of Medicine announce its search for the Chair of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at NYU Hospital—Long Island.  This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a preeminent Cardiothoracic Surgery program on Long Island in collaboration with the Chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery at NYU Langone Health and the NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

The Chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery will develop and drive the vision and strategy for the Department, and have a distinguished track record in adult cardiac surgery with the ability to foster collaborations leading to world class quality and excellence. The successful candidate should have an MD degree and should have demonstrated leadership experience in a major program. Candidates should have experience in mitral valve repair, complex valve surgery, coronary artery disease and mechanical circulatory support, and preferentially have been involved in clinical trials in at least one of these areas.
