The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for 2 full-time positions in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series at the Associate Professor or Professor level to lead our existing group of advanced endoscopists with the goal of developing an nationally-recognized program. The positions will be dedicated to growing a regional referral base and directing the Advanced Endoscopy practice while providing outstanding patient care and education in the area of advanced endoscopy. Additional responsibilities will include educating fellows and working with current faculty to improve upon the current curriculum of the Advanced Endoscopy fellowship.  The successful candidates are expected to have training and experience in advanced endoscopy including a minimum of 4 years post-fellowship training experience in a high-volume advanced endoscopy practice. Competence in endoscopic mucosal resection, ESD, EUS, and ERCP as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching and leadership are required. A track record of research productivity is highly desirable. Candidates must have an MD degree and must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology and eligible for a California medical license. Rank will be commensurate with each candidate’s qualifications and experience. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales. Candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.
