The Operating Room Nurse Manager will work at an 800+ bed non-profit hospital alongside a specialized team of individuals all dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. This hospital is home to an array of specialties and clinics, including their perinatal center, stroke and diabetes programs, and heart and vascular care. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will work at a hospital recognized for their robotics program. With world class, specialized surgeons using the most sophisticated technology, this perioperative surgical department offers an array of robotic procedures, including bariatric, colorectal, gynecologic, head and neck, thoracic, prostate, and urological robotic surgery. Specialists are also trained to use Robotic-Assisted Cystectomy (RARC), Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Pyeloplasty, Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS), TORS for Obstructive Sleep Apnea, and Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS).

Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the Operating Room Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing operational work flow of 20 operating rooms within the main hospital campus, with approximately 15 direct reports per shift. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will work alongside a team of dedicated individuals, including other surgical service nursing managers, perioperative service nurse educators, general and specialized physicians, CNOR certified department staff RN, surgical technicians, technicians, and non-clinical staff. Administrative duties include staffing, scheduling, evaluations, conflict resolution, overseeing department work flow, and assisting with educational programming evaluations. Since the Operating Room Nurse Manager will be a hands-on leader and resource to the surgical services team, they will be knowledgeable on best practices, evidence based research, and have recent clinical experience using the most advanced technology and techniques.
