A highly respected health organization in the beautiful Anchorage, AK area is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced, full-time CCU/ Critical Care Unit permanent position. Job Synopsis:

• Develop plan of care for patients.
• Ability to work and treat people of all backgrounds and cultures.
• Documents patient assessment concisely and completely.
• Administers medication and performs treatments.
• Coordinates patient teaching through collaboration with staff.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Reviews documentation as needed.
• Supports orientation of staff and acts as a mentor.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Has a deep understanding of the programs/services and policies and procedures of the facility.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions.

Requirements:

• State of Alaska (AK), RN License / Compact License - unencumbered, or ability to prior to hire
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from either AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network
• Preferred:
• BSN degree
• ACLS
• Med/Surg, Specialty, stepdown, critical care, or any other relevant hospital experience
