Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Respiratory Assistant works with Respiratory Team (RT) to provide basic respiratory therapy technology in accordance with the RT treatment plan. Assesses patient's respiratory status, administers ordered respiratory therapy and aerosolized medications, records patient's progress and response to therapy. Provides thorough report to RT team and discusses changes in patient condition provider and other members of clinical team
Essential Functions:
Plans and manages patient care according to each patient's needs.
Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
Provides routine care for patients.
Observes patients' health.
Accompanies patients to their rooms.
Communicates with patients and their families.
Performs standard diagnostic procedures
Job Requirements:
Skills:
Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state in which you work and reside.
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to American Heart Association.
Certifications & Licenses:
Must be OH Licensed.
Epic exp is plus
Current BLS (AHA Required)
