Certified Nursing Assistant (CNAs) assist nurs es in general care and well being of residents; positions, transfers, moves and lifts residents; will feed and bathe residents as well as respond to their general needs; takes and records temperatures, pulses and respiration's; observes residents and reports unusual symptoms and/or behavior; ensures that restraints are correctly applied and clean; keeps beds, bedpans and related equipment clean; maintains unit environment for safety of resident; transports residents, specimens and other related resident items; may apply or remove braces and performs related duties as required.

Job Requirements:
(Educational)
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent as a minimum and completion of a certified nursing assistant course from an accredited college program and on North Carolina Registry.
- Maintains yearly educational requirements to keep certification current
(Experience)
- Desire 1 year current experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a long term nursing facility or hospital.
(Specific Requirements)
- Must possess a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
- Must have caring attitude with ability to work harmoniously with physicians, nurses, residents, administration, and general public.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
