Shift Details: Two 12 hour shifts 7p-7am every third weekend and every third holiday

Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.

We are looking for registered nurses to staff our brand new, state-of-the-art inpatient Orthopedic Unit. Join our successful team at this exciting time as we launch our new unit, in support of our expanding orthopedic services and future growth. This newly redesigned 21 bed unit will offer our patients private rooms, an inpatient orthopedic gym and unit-based, rehabilitation services. MidState has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for its Knee and Hip Replacement program and has also been designated a Blue Distinction Center® in Knee & Hip Replacement by Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies. Qualifications
Education Requirements

• BSN (preferred)

Minimum Requirements


• Current RN license in state of Connecticut

• Must have previous RN experience

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment.

• Self-directed in the management of patient care.

• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Independent problem solving skills
Orthopedic or Surgical experience is preferred.
