Reporting to the Critical Care Manager, the ICU Critical Care Nurse works with Nurse Directors, Nurse Managers, and staff to provide professional nursing care in the ongoing assessment, planning, and treatment of patients and families. The ICU RN will also exhibit good judgment, competency, and decision making for quality patient care and medication administration. The ideal Critical Care Unit RN will have recent critical care experience working in an acute care hospital. The Day Shift Critical Care CCU Nurse is responsible for utilizing hospital resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being in accordance with the philosophies and standards for the hospital. Also, the CCU RN will use critical thinking to ensure overall quality of care to patients and families to establish a partnership of culture, care, and safety. The ICU RN will also be a patient advocate and provide quality of care to patients.
