The Baylor College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking to expand its services at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio and is seeking outstanding candidates to join the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Section as a fulltime faculty member.  The ideal candidates will develop innovative clinical and educational programs, and represent the section in the community, nationally, and internationally. 

Through partnership with CHRISTUS Health System and Baylor College of Medicine, The Children’s Hospital is the first and only freestanding, academic, not-for-profit women and children's hospital in San Antonio and serves as a focal point for maternal and pediatric services throughout the community and in South Texas.

The Section consists of seven board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, thirteen perinatal sonographers, and three genetic counselors. The section provides care at three outpatient locations and supports inpatient care at three hospitals. Primary responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient patient care, training and education of residents, out-reach, and clinical research supported in part by and in partnership with The Voelcker Clinical Research Center.

Qualified applicants must have an MD, DO or MD/PhD degree and be board certified or board eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The academic rank and appointment will be determined by the candidate’s credentials and experience.
