The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be board certified/eligible in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn students, residents and fellows, as well as graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Clinical responsibilities may include clinical care that specializes in IBD, motility/physiology, Hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology. The selected candidate may be required to provide these services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR).
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include working on research in the field of gastroenterology, as well as collaboration with members of labs in their research and give their contributions. Scholarship is a requirement for this position and there is an expectation that selected candidates will be able to secure and retain research funding.
