Job Summary
This is a Department ofNursing Service position that provides delivery of patient care with theknowledge of a Registered Nurse. Must demonstrate the clinical ability to workas Primary RN on the Unit to which assigned. Must be able to coordinates the deliveryof patient care on the Unit; completes required documentation; participates inpatient/family teaching and discharge planning, effectively utilizing theNursing Process. Provides leadership by working cooperatively and effectivelywith physicians, ancillary staff and other administrative and support personnelin maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice in themultidisciplinary clinical setting. Provides the basic leadership required of aRegistered Nurse for subordinate staff on the Unit. Maintains quality deliveryof patient care by completing patient assignments in compliance with theNursing Process, the Arizona Nurse Practice Act, TJC and State regulations andestablished Hospital Policies and Procedures. Strives daily to give allcustomers very good care and promotes Havasu Regional Medical Centers'Standards of Behavior and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
To perform this job, an individual must perform each essentialfunction satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as othermedical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living,including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patientcare, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and providespatient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, andcircumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-beingof the patient.
Collaborate with members of the multi-disclplinary team tocoordinate and provide excellent patient care.Assists with keeping patientrooms stocked, clean and orderly. Performs clerical duties, aligned withnursing station activities. Delegates & supervises LPN's & MCT's togather patient information and provide care.

Associate's degree required
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree
Licensure:
Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License required on hire
Certification(s) required upon hire:
ACLS required upon hire (BLS is not required if employee has current ACLS)
Certification(s) required within 6 months of hire:
TNCC
Required Skills
Requires superior critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience:
At least 1 year ICU experience preferred.
