Job Summary
Functions as a member of the Surgical and Endoscopy teams to deliver peri-operative care to the surgical patient. Has necessary knowledge to prepare and maintain a safe and sterile environment; assess the health needs of patients; implements, and evaluate care for patients in one or more surgical specialty, in a manner that supports the Standards of Nursing Care; and to perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Required to be qualified to care for the infant, child adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patient. A circulator displays a high regard for human life and respects the dignity, uniqueness, worth and right of each individual
Education/Experience:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.2-3 years experience in PACU Recovery/Critical Care required.Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR)is required.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required within 6 months from starting date.It is the staff nurse's responsibility to remain current in all required certification
