Position Overview:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide direct psychiatric services for homeless individuals at three separate, general populationtreatment programs who are not connected to care. The PNP will document medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions and outcomes. The PNP will provide medication management including prescription refills and medication education, write prescriptions for psychotropic medications as allowed by state regulations and collaborative practice agreements and also provide in service staff training and consultation to the social service team.

Qualifications:
Preference is given to those who have experience working on a multi- disciplinary team and/or previous experience with homeless population. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State and credentialed by the State to practice as an advanced Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in psychiatry. Must be registered as a NY State Medicaid provider. Must have a DEA# and an individual NPI #. Must carry individual malpractice insurance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to assist adult males of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences.
