Summary:
The Grand Healthcare Systems is expanding and we are looking for a talented Regional Director of Nursing to facilitate our growth! The Regional Director of Nursing will be responsible assessing and evaluating clinical services in an assigned geographic region. Consultation services include but are not limited to the areas of resident care, state and federal, surveys, regulatory compliance, staffing, MDS reimbursement or case management issues, and clinical services. May be assigned to function as the Interim Director of Nursing in a local facility in times of transition or on an "as needed basis."
Duties Include:
Provide information about best clinical practices to the company and clinical leadership team
Works with regional and local clinical staff to establish quarterly and annual performance improvement goals and write quarterly QAPI plans to reach those goals
Supports and facilitates Company and local facility values, practice standards, and ethics policies and procedures
Collaborates with each Director of Nursing to schedule facility/regional visits based on facility issues and compliance needs
Conducts routine mock surveys and survey preparation
Supports with training and development meetings
Act as regional mentor and coach for DONs to ensure success at assigned facilities
Assist with managing costs, ensures compliance with policies/procedures, upholds State/ Federal regulations and current standards of practice
Requirements Include:
Current New York State RN license required
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in long-term care nursing management role
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes
Ability to educate and train staff on State and Federal regulations
Complete knowledge and understanding of the functions of a long-term care facility
Excellent Communication Skills required
Evidence of advanced leadership skills and supervision
Microsoft Office
Flexibility to travel within Hudson Valley Region
