Primary Duties for the Assistant Director of Nursing RN (ADON) is to participate in overseeing the provision of resident care services consistent with accepted standards of care and as prescribed by the attending physician. This position may, also, provide direct resident care, supervise nursing staff and assigns duties to other nurses and/or nursing assistants as appropriate.

The Pavilion at Kenton is increasing our staff to include a position for an Assistant Director of Nursing RN (ADON).
We are an 82 bed LTC Nursing and Rehabilition Facility, located on the former St. Elizabeth in Covington Campus. We are conveniently located on the bus line.
Essential Job Functions for the Assistant Director of Nursing RN (ADON):

The Assistant Director of Nursing RN (ADON) assures resident care is delivered in accordance with accepted standards of practice
Will do audits as assigned by the Director of Nursing
Implements and evaluates a resident's plan of care, making recommendations as needed, to the Director of Nursing
Consulting and coordinating with health care team
The Assistant Director of Nursing RN (ADON) provides direct and individualized nursing care to residents as necessary
Assists with admissions
Ability to take orders from MD and document in appropriate places
Make nursing staff aware of new orders
Administers medication as needed
Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident
The Assistant Director of Nursing RN (ADON) provides and documents education to residents and participates in care conferences and discharge teaching and planning
Documents nursing history and physical assessments for assigned resident
Assistant Director of Nursing RN (ADON) responds to life saving situations based on nursing standards and policies and procedures
Assists in dining room at meal times
The Assistant Director of Nursing RN (ADON)will communicate with Director of Nursing, Administrator, Nursing Staff, residents, families and physicians in a positive manner
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator
