Pediatric Assistant Director of Nursing (Evening Shift)

Ditmas Children's - Ditmas Children's is a newly opened pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)/Sub-Acute in Brooklyn, NY. We are looking for a goal-driven, compassionate pediatric nurse with experience in acute pedaitric nursing who is open to learn/be mentored as a nursing leader. The successful candidate will work evening and is flexible with work hours & willing to go above & beyond.
Qualifications:
- BSN & currently enrolled in masters degree program (or in the process of enrolling)
- BLS & PALS certified
- Over 3 years experience as a pediatric RN in acute setting
Job duties & Responsibilities:
- Covers the clinical operation in the absence of the VPCS
- Facilitates educational activities & orientation in the absence of the Nurse Educator
- Facilitates Infection prevention activities in the absence of the Infection preventionist
- Facilitates Risk Management meetings as needed
- Actively participates in all QAPI activities
- Performs staff performance evaluation
- Oversees staffing of the unit
- Participates with recruitment and retention initiatives
