Responsible for planning, organizing and administration of the Family Practice Residency Program; coordinate the continuing medical education program and medical student rotations; coordinates the Resident recruitment, application and selection process.
Coordinates curricula to ensure compliance with RRC compliance.
Supervises the Residency Coordinator, Medical Student Coordinator and all residency faculty.
Supervises and teaches the Residents, including didactic teaching as well as hands on direct patient care; coordinates Resident orientation, retreats, and graduation.
Supervises and teaches medical students on rotation in the Family Practice Clinic.
Ensures that medical professionals in different teaching areas can work together for teaching purposes, and in planning curriculum and lectures.
Responsible for updating of general residency curricula, Residency Policy Manual, grant writing and faculty recruitment.
Prepares variety of reports, including Residency application and selection process, updates on curricula items, Resident orientation and evaluation process.
Serves as a Family Practitioner providing patient care.
Qualifications
Three years of experience as a Family Practitioner, with one year of experience as faculty for a family residency program.
License Possession of a valid physician and surgeon license issued by the Board of Medical Examiners or the Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Board Certificate Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice
