Royal Airforce Station (RAF) Lakenheath is a base assigned to a U.S. military population of nearly 5,000 personnel as well as 2,000 American and British civilian employees. With this population and an additional 1200 U.S. personnel to be stationed here in the near future, RAF Lakenheath stands as the largest U.S. Air Force-operated base in England. RAF Lakenheath is located in Suffolk County of East Anglia. Being a mere 13 miles away from Newmarket, 18 miles from Bury St. Edmunds, 30 miles from Cambridge, and 40 miles from Norwich and Ipswich, the area promises a wealth of local and nearby attractions during weekends and free time.

Job Requirements:

Degree: Masters as a Nurse Practitioner

Certification: Certified

License: Any US State License

Experience: Minimum of six years nursing experience. Must have three years Nurse Practitioner (NP) experience and two of those years must be in the last thirty-six months.

Duties:
  • Provide primary care to patients
  • Serve as a nurse practitioner in skilled nursing centers
  • Make independent health care decisions regarding patient care
  • Provide care and treatment for psychiatric patients
  • Providing patient-focused health care
  • Provide well child care, acute care
  • Providing care for patients in acute and critical care settings
  • Produce care plan for patients
  • Provide wound care to patients
  • Provide primary health care, including preventive care services, for patients
  • Provide primary care and patient education
  • Ensure care coordination and patient centered care
  • Provide comprehensive primary health care to a population of patients
  • Advise patients about continuing care
  • Act as an independent practitioner
  • Treat and care for patients
  • Providing episodic care of patients
  • Provide work related health care services to patients
  • Manage patients for wound care services
  • Perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established protocols and current standards for acute care nurse practitioner practice
