The Director of Nursing is responsible for directing, coordinating and educating on all aspects of nursing/patient care services for assigned division(s) within Lee Physician Group and Outpatient areas consisting of 200 providers and appropriate numbers of licensed and unlicensed assistive FTE's. This position provides direction to the licensed and unlicensed patient care team to promote quality, patient centric services and a culture of continuous safety and improvement. The Director of Nursing oversees the delivery of patient care and services to meet LPG patient experience and employee engagement goals. This position is responsible for the recruitment orientation, education and professional development of the care team staff. This position is responsible for ensuring the patient care delivered is patient centric, effective, efficient, safe and complies with regulatory standards, governing agencies, American Nurses Association and the Florida Nurse Practice Act. This position develops and fosters collegial relationships with and among the employed physicians and staff. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes teamwork and reflects the mission and values of Lee Memorial Health System. Serves as member on Nursing Leadership and other System committees. Reports to the System Director of Nursing and Clinical Services.

Experience Required:
8 Years in Nursing Leadership
Eight years progressive management experience in health care required. Five years experience in physician practice/ ambulatory care setting required. Adult education and EHR experience required.
Knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of ambulatory nursing care. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Project management, continuous quality improvement and the ability to lead change through innovation and relationships.
State of Florida Licensure Requirements

Registered Nurse License

Certifications/Registration Requirements Preferred:
CMPE and/or Ambulatory Nursing Certification preferred.
