About The Heart and Vascular Center

AdventHealth cut the ribbon on a $17.5 million, state-of-the-art expansion at the Heart and Vascular Center at AdventHealth Sebring. The 24,000-square-foot facility will provide the latest in cardiovascular surgical care for Hardee, Highlands and surrounding counties. The Heart and Vascular Center at AdventHealth Sebring will have 24 private lakefront rooms dedicated to heart and vascular patients, and a fourth additional catheterization lab equipped with the latest in Philips technology, to assist patients in achieving the best possible outcomes following their exceptional heart care.

The AdventHealth network of care features the only certified heart and vascular center and Primary Stroke Care Center in the Heartland region. Since the original opening of the Heart and Vascular Center in 2009, AdventHealth Sebring has performed more than 4,300 successful angioplasties.

AdventHealth Sebring recently received a Leapfrog grade "A" in patient safety for the fifth consecutive year. This is the highest score awarded by the prestigious Leapfrog Group which rates hospitals across the country on patient safety criteria. Work Hours/Shift: Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

* Performs assessments and determines the total nursing needs of assigned patients.
* Follows the principals of AIDET in all patient and family interactions.
* Assesses patient/family needs in relation to presenting problem, care needs, physical condition and learning needs.
* Performs head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
* Identifies problems and or/or nursing diagnosis and plans for nursing interventions.
* Anticipates patient care problems and initiates corrective actions.
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

* Minimum of Diploma in Nursing
* Current Florida RN License
* BLS - condition of employment
* ACLS within 12 months of employment or transfer
* Basic EKG Class within 12 months of employment or transfer
* Previous healthcare experience
* Previous experience in designated department

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of patient care using a multidisciplinary approach to the Nursing process in accordance with the Hospital's Mission, physician and patient expectations. These duties will be performed in an acceptable manner according to the hospitals mission, vision, goals and management expectations.
