The flagship Medical Center for this major hospital organization, is community-focused, with a highly specialized care environment. Located in East Bay of the San Francisco area, and only 12 miles from downtown. Enjoy 13 weeks in a variety of adventure in culture, arts and food.

The 9 bed labor and delivery unit with 150-180 births per month provides care for laboring patients. May be expected to cross train to at least 1 other Maternal Child Health/Family Centered Care area with appropriate certifications.

Required Qualifications
2 years of experience of adequate newborn care in a labor and delivery unit
BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN, Fetal Monitoring certifications
Circulate experience
Float Antepartum and postpartum
May be Required to float to Richmond

UNIT DESCRIPTION:150-180 Births per month
Beds on Unit: 6 LDRP, 3 LDR, 2 OR/RR, 5 Triage
# of RNs: 7 Noc/8 days/7 evenings
Patient care Delivery system: primary Per AWOHNN. MEDS:Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin. Proceudures: Labor, C/S, Versions, OCTs, NSTs. Equip: Fetal Monitors, IV pumps, Bovie, 3 Lead EKG recovery unit.
F provides Scrubs. Unit Specific Requirements for Travel RNs: Management of Laboring patients, circulate in C/S, phone triage, float to Family Care Unit if needed
