Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities. Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring. Performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned area.
Reports to: Director Emergency Services
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required.
Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association) - Required within 30 days if not current upon hireD
Required Licenses
Nursing Assistant
State of Tennessee - Certified Nurse Assistant or minimum of 10 years nurse assistance experience - Required
Minimum Work Experience
Previous experience as a unit secretary and/or monitor tech - Preferred.
