This is a great opportunity for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join a dynamic team supporting the Internal Medicine specialty for our Kenmore Practice of Atrius Health/Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.
As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supporting Internal Medicine, ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs of the patients in accordance with physicians' orders, OSHA, nursing and department guidelines. Fulfills the duties to contribute to the continuity and quality of care while fostering the best interest and well-being of patients and their families. Identifies those situations requiring clinical judgment and escalates these issues to clinicians. This position may require to cover Urgent Care when needed.
Education: Graduate of a state-approved school of practical nursing.
Skills and Experience: Possesses a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Minimum of 2 years' experience in ambulatory care, medical office or acute care. Excellent communication skills. Proficient computer skills required. IV skills preferred. PPD readings, cath insertion, injections, immunizations, knowledge of lab result readings. Experience with hospital discharge follow up a plus. Knowledge of EPIC or compatible system required.
