Job Description

1. Establish financial, business, and quality/operating structures aligning with organizational goals and initiatives. Serve as the subject matter expert for Epic functionality, reporting and data management.
2. Develop and analyze metrics for key quality and operating functions. Facilitate collaboration with other entities/departments to achieve standarized and/or integrated workflows that are considerate of quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
3. Serve as the liaison between nursing clerical areas, IT, and quality departments. Maintain current knowledge of quality, regulatory, and practice standards for nursing and other areas as relevant.
4. Recommend and guide work to address identified improvement opportunities. Supervise the development and maintenance of standarized reports and dashboards.
5. Support attainment, submission, and maintenance of nurse quality metrics, both internally and externally to facility. Maintain a project management framework when applicable. Develop positive relationships with leaders and team members throughout the organization.
6. Demonstrate a working knowledge of hospital structure, operations, policies, and procedures.
7. Command of pertinent applications and medical record platform (Microsoft Office and Epic).
Minimum Qualifications

1. Licensed and currently registered to practice as a professional nurse in New York State, plus (2) or (3), below.

2. Masters Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, Clinical Specialty or equivalent field and five years of satisfactory nursing experience, of which three years shall have been in a supervisory or teaching capacity; or a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and six years of satisfactory nursing experience, four years of which shall have been in a supervisory or teaching capacity.

3. A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience. However, all candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
Department Preferences

Educations: Masters Degree in Nursing; Masters Degree in Clinical Informatics or relevant subject

Knowledge & Experience Preferred:
1. Minimum of 5 years experience in acute care nursing
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in nursing quality and/or clinical informatics preferred
3. Project management experience
4. IT experience
