RN - Mobile Director of Nursing - Long Term Care
CommuniCare Health Services owns and operates over 85 facilities in 7 states. CommuniCare is currently recruiting an experienced DON to assume the role of Mobile Director of Nursing for the CommuniCare family of health care companies facilities throughout the state of Ohio. The Mobile DON will be required to travel to the various facilities as needed.
The position of Mobile Director of Nursing provides leadership to the nursing staff at multiple facilities to assure that care standards are met and the highest degree of resident care is provided at all times. The position must function as a team member, team leader, and supervisor to ensure that work is accomplished and quality care is delivered, supporting team members, and leading the way in celebrating team successes. While focusing on planning, organizing, developing and assisting the overall operation of the Nursing Department, the position must also manage the resources within his/her control and assist others in managing resources.
The Mobile Director of Nursing will be responsible to:

Evaluate facility compliance to clinical policy, procedure, and care
Visit facilities weekly for intervention, audit, and training
Train new nursing management
Monitor readiness for State Survey and assist during surveys
Aid in Plan of Correction process

The successful candidate for the Mobile Director of Nursing position must have a current Registered Nurse license. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience as a Director of Nursing is required. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and oversee functions at multiple facilities. Travel will be required, and candidates must be willing to travel for an extended time to any facility in the region as needed.

Job Requirements:

Current RN license
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience as DON
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to multi-task and oversees functions at multiple facilities
Ability to travel, sometimes for an extended time, to facilities within the region, as needed.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long term care administration.
Strong leadership and organizational skills
The ability to communicate well with employees and families about their issues
Must maintain current CPR certification
