Provides direct client care that includes the holistic approach to the care of the child and family. This includes educational, psychosocial, behavioral, physical, mental and emotional care and needs of the child. Responsibilities:
1. Provides exceptional customer service and quality care:Seeks to provide professional and courteous service to the children and their families.Participates in a team effort to fulfill area goals and work requirements.Maintains confidentiality in all situations and interactions.Follows chain of command with questions and concerns.2. Conducts safe child care and utilizes appropriate established guidelines:Demonstrates the ability to provide individualized care under the direction of the RN Case Manager, Charge Nurse or Site Director of Nursing in a child care setting at all times.Obtains vital signs as delegated by the RN Case Manager, Charge Nurse or Site Director and reports this information to the appropriate requesting individual, documenting as instructed.Utilizes the appropriate guidelines and information based on the age of the child to foster independence and advancement.Demonstrates good listening and observation skills. Refers inquiries to the appropriate resource.Performs multiple tasks prioritizing tasks appropriately.Flexible in changes that occur throughout the day including staffing, children, employees and nursing care.Handles emergent situations while remaining calm.Reports situations immediately to the RN Case Manager.3. Documents appropriate information in a timely manner:Performs chart documentation at the time care/direction is given. Utilizes proper procedure for all care/direction.Documents accurate and complete demographic information on all children.Uses date, time and signature and title entries appropriately on all documentation.4. Maintains professional responsibilities to remain up to date on standards regarding child care, PPEC regulations and The Kidz Club policies:Keeps current in The Kidz Club affairs via staff meetings and designated communicationsRecords work accurately and appropriately.Assists in maintaining medical records and ensures information is complete and filed appropriately.Attends in-service education and required training including The Kidz Club in-services and additional inservices to learn new procedures, applications and updates.5. Assists in cleaning and maintenance of the facility.6. Performs other duties as assigned by the RN Case Manager, Charge Nurse or Site Director of Nursing.7. Qualifications:
Current SRNA registration in the state of Kentucky required. Graduate of a CNA program required.A minimum of six months current experience as a practicing CNA preferred. Pediatric experience preferred. Current negative Tuberculosis test (PPD) required. Current CPR (Basic Life Support) required.COVID-19 Vaccination Status: The Kidz Club employees are required to be fully vaccinated by October 29th, 2021.
