Qualifications:
A current and active New Jersey RN license is requiredBachelors Degree in Nursing requiredMaster Degree in Business, Nursing or related field preferredAt least 5 years of Cardiovascular experience requiredAt least 2 years of leadership program experience required, preferably in invasive cardiovascular servicesCertification in cardiovascular area preferredACLS requiredBLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association required IABP/CCRT preferred
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Manager has responsibility for Southern Ocean Medical Center. SOMC Heart and Vascular departments including Interventional Radiology, Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and low risk Cath Lab. More recently, SOMC has applied to become a Full Service Cath Lab with the State of NJ. We are looking for a dynamic leader to help expand and develop our cardiac services.Responsibilities Include:Implementation of the CV CTS strategic plan and evidence based guideline driven care in accordance with National Cardiac and Vascular governing bodies American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Heart Association (AHA), Society of Vascular Surgery (SVS), Society of Cardiology and Angiography (SCAI) and regulatory requirements within all of Cardiovascular services from NJDOH, TJC, and CMS etc.He/she develops coordinates, integrates and oversees inter-disciplinary programs, monitors performance standards and existing practices and designs new systems to improve organizational performance and staff competence and achieves cardiovascular accreditations and certifications.Demonstrating CV leadership, under the direction of the HMH CV Care Transformation Service and local administration, provide staff development, ensuring competence and collaborating with cardiologists, vascular surgeons across the region and HMH CV CTS Network. In collaboration with the SOMC Medical Staff and local Senior Management team to deliver high quality, cost-effective care across the continuum.
