Baylor College of Medicine seeks to recruit a preeminent leader for the role of Chair of the Department of Dermatology to build upon the legacy of this outstanding department in clinical practice and education. This individual should be recognized internationally for excellence as a leader in Dermatology.
The Department of Dermatology is composed of 16 total faculty members across the BCM affiliated Hospitals in The Texas Medical Center including Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Ben Taub General Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital, and the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The Department of Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine is recognized as a leading academic dermatology department. The department strives to provide outstanding dermatological care for patients, innovative training for future practitioners and advances in research concerning the mechanisms and treatment of skin disease. Dermatopathology, microbiology, and other basic science lectures, seminars, and conferences are essential components of our training curriculum.
The Department has a well-balanced, comprehensive clinical program (surgery, pathology, pediatrics, general and complex medical dermatology, consults, laser center, cosmetic dermatology, PDT, and phototherapy).
