We are hiring a Director of Oncology Solutions. Responsible for leading, developing, and implementing oncology strategies and innovations enterprise wide. Creates and shapes medical management initiatives and processes for oncology across all settings: office-based infusion, home infusion, specialty pharmacy, hospitals, and physician providers. Provides clinical, operational, and technical leadership, decision support and strategic direction for oncology.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Leads process for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs to improve quality, access and reducing total cost of care trends.
In collaboration with other internal stakeholders and business owners, develops and launches additional strategic initiatives/programs and continuously improves operational procedures to achieve quality, efficiency and cost of care goals related to oncology and develops tools and resources as needed.
Serves as the subject matter expert for the oncology quality care program, systems implementations, and ongoing maintenance and operations.
Establishes processes, controls, and documentation system to monitor compliance and quality of care issues.
Influences the development of key success metrics to achieve cost of care targets.
Monitors metrics to identify opportunities for new programming.
Leads and coordinates efforts with oncology practices participating in Value Based Care Programs.
Manages the Oncology Advisory Committee which evaluates and provides feedback and recommendations to help improve the quality of cancer care.
Co-chairs the Cancer Care Quality Improvement Committee which supports, promotes, and approves high quality and cost effective cancer care initiatives across the enterprise.
Plans, produces and manages content, and hosts meetings that support the advancement of oncology services.
Supports Sales, Account Management, RFPs, and other stakeholders to demonstrate value for oncology initiatives and products.
Analyzes the effectiveness of the cancer program, including patient health outcomes, healthcare resource utilizations and total cost of care expenditures, etc.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Position is currently remote due to COVID. Position may have an office presence post COVID in accordance with Anthem policy.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Requires advanced clinical degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience in health plan and/or specialty pharmacy management, clinical strategy and business development, operations; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.

Must be located within a commutable distance to an Anthem office.

Preferred Qualifications

RN licensure preferred. Public speaking experience strongly preferred.
