Description/Qualifications:
Salem Hospital, a not-for-profit Level II Trauma facility, is one of Oregon's largest acute-care hospitals, is home to the busiest ER on the West Coast, and is licensed for 494 acute-care beds.We are seeking an experienced, unscheduled/per diem physician to join our team of Adult Hospitalists on a shift-basis.Our patients receive comprehensive medical services through our robust Medical Group of more than 250 providers and 16 specialties, focused on enhancing the patient experience and providing higher levels of care coordination. Salem is uniquely positioned geographically to serve a broad catchment area including metropolitan and rural communities and boasts active lifestyle opportunities unique to the Pacific Northwest.Position Scope:Variable, day, swing or night shifts availableNo Code, Closed ICU, No ventilator managementNo procedure responsibilities24/7 Full subspecialty and ICU coverageExcellent rapid response team available for patient evaluationGreat EPIC and template system making documentation easyHighlights of Salem Health Medical Group:Dragon Medical One, Epic-integrated dictation softwarePhysician-directed practice that allows all clinicians to have input and help guide the direction of health careHIGH Clinician engagement scoresGrowing medical group that has recently doubled in sizeDesignated as a Top Workplace in OregonYou may be a qualified candidate if you:Hold a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.Hold a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon.Hold current DEA certification.Successful completion of accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Have a minimum of one (1) year experience as a board certified Adult Hospitalist Physician; experience to include the admission and/or provision of patient care for at least 60 hospital patients, including ED evaluations/admits, in the previous 2 years.
