Registered Nurse (RN) - School Nurse

School Nurse Needed for Local Charter School

to address the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students and supports their achievement in the learning process

Hours are Monday - Friday from 10AM-4PM. Hours may fluctuate based on the needs of the school. Temp to Perm Opportunity!

Pay is $35 per hour.

Qualified candidates must have the following credentials:

• Must have a current, unrestricted NC or compact license
• Must have a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse
• Have current CPR certification (no online courses)
• Have MMR immunizations or titers
• Experience in School Health, Urgent Care, Emergency Room, or Pediatrics is highly preferred

Job Requirements:

RN -School Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid to students and staff
• Perform health screenings
• Administer medication to students
• Coordinate referrals to private healthcare providers
• Overseeing infection control measures
• Monitoring Immunizations
• Providing health advice to school educational teams, such as the Committee on Special Education and the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) team
• Serve as liaisons between school personnel, family, and community healthcare providers to ensure a healthy school environment
