Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University seek Division Chief to lead a large, dynamic and growing Division of Hospital Pediatrics.

The successful candidate will lead a group of 60+ pediatric and internal medicine/pediatric faculty members who care for hospitalized newborns, children, and adolescents in multiple settings at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, one of the largest not-for-profit freestanding pediatric health care systems in the United States.

In addition to leading the provision of the highest quality, evidence-based clinical care, the Division Chief must promote safety and quality improvement programs, lead education initiatives, and advance the growing research capabilities of the Division.  An ACGME-accredited fellowship program matriculates two fellows annually from a nationally competitive applicant pool.

Ideal candidates are accomplished and experienced leaders and eligible/certified in pediatric hospital medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. The successful candidate must be qualified for appointment as an Associate Professor or Professor.  The Chief must visibly develop, embrace, and uphold principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in alignment with the Nationwide Children’s Hospital culture and belief that racism is a public health crisis, and all children deserve optimal health and best outcomes.
