SightRite - SightRite Inc, a healthcare company that provides in house optometry visits for residents of nursing homes is looking for employees with a healthcare background such as CNA or LPN to work as an optometric tech in various nursing homes in all the boroughs of NYC. This job offers lots of flexibility; work on your days off or extra hours after your shift. Travel to nursing homes to take images of the eye using a portable fundus camera, for our doctors to be able to diagnose diseases and conditions of the eye using the images taken. Also, work with one of our optometrists as an optometric tech assisting the doctor during the facility visit.
We provide full training on how to use the portable camera, as well as all the job duties of an optometric technician. The candidate must be willing to work at the different sites and have a way to get there- the ideal candidate has their own vehicle. We compensate for mileage and parking and most of the drive time will be paid as work time.
The employee will be on the clock as work time while traveling from facility to facility. Based on how many hours the employee would be available on a given day will determine how many locations patients will be seen.
If you are available 2-3 days a week or 3-4 afternoons per week, or full time then this is the job for you! Weekends are not required but if you are available for weekends we can work with that availability as well.
Job Specifications:
At least High School Graduate
Minimum of 1 year experience in the healthcare arena.
Must have the behavioral sensitivity, maturity, diplomacy and tact in addressing complex situations and handling irate customers.
Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
Computer literate
Loves to interact with elderly patients.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
